They say that old people talk about their aches and ailments. Sorry if I'm about to sound like an old person.
If you've been following the yacht blog, you'll have some idea of what I've been up to lately - living on a yacht while refitting it and doing various things to bring it up to a state that the insurance company accepts. One of the things this yacht doesn't have is refrigeration. I've been using ice to keep things cool but, apparently, pushed things a bit too far and I guess I ate something that was "past its prime". So the last two days have been a blizzard of runs to the comfort station followed by "the runs", alternating with being so tired that I just wanted to sleep. Nothing really got moved forward.
I'm still tired and sleeping a lot, but I seem to be over the worst of it and just need the sleep to recover. It's still not pleasant, though, for sure.
There's a new school opening up in the area and I received an inquiry if I want to teach sailing through them. It's tempting, but now I have to decide what to do. I have a potential opening with one company, but it's in the USA and who knows when the border situation will allow me to work with them. However, I like the people and they have definitely been supportive and professional -- and patient. This other school is on the Canadian side, which is a plus, and is a LOT closer than the one in the US. I'll have to talk to them and see what transpires and what they expect -- as well as talk to the one in the U.S. We'll see.
