Today started a new phase of the exercise regime as a consequence of seeing the physical trainer (as opposed to physiotherapist). For the coming week I have to just do brisk walking. Of course, I still have to keep up the exercises from the physiotherapist too. It's always nice to combine something with an opportunity to do something with Anne. She works 3 days a week and so I'll be walking her to work and/or walking to pick her up and walking home as well.
A number of years ago I took up running, which is weird because I loathe running. I threw myself into it and ended up running marathons. I used to get up every morning before work and go out running before work. I'm going to be doing the same thing now - getting up and going out for a walk early in the morning.
Slowly my days are filling up more and more with the physiotherapy each day and now workouts (which are easy at the moment but will increase in length and intensity), and I kind of feel like things are closing in around me. This is my life for the next two years, though I suppose after a bit the physiotherapy will taper off and give me back some of my day.

We live in paradise
Enjoy the walks at the beach, and eventually, on our rebuilt pier. Up the ravine (especially in the summer...it's cooler than the streets), and onto the cool sand and warm tide pools. I'll join you Tuesdays and Thursdays, just as you'll join me on my walks to work.
