It's still an Owwww day. Anne and I went to see Cher tonight, but of course Anne wanted to make sure she looked fabulous (though in my opinion she always does). This meant running around to various places, then driving off to Vancouver to check in to our hotel. We had decided we didn't want to drive home at midnight, so had taken a reservation at one of the properties in which we have an interest.
The opening act was Nile Rodgers and Chic. Nile has written a lot of music and worked with quite a number of really famous people. Unfortunately, his act was basically a tribute to his own ego, with a lot of name dropping and self congratulatory patter. Also, they had a light show and the lights kept spearing straight into my eyes. Before the end of the first song, I had a headache from the glare, and that probably didn't help my attitude towards the act any. After about another three songs the headache went away just in time for them to shine the lights back into my eyes again.
Anyway, the entire night turned out wonderfully, with Cher being as delightful an act as I always thought she would be. That she's still going strong at the age of [censored] is an inspiration.
I'm thinking about not doing a blog entry every day but, instead, only doing one when I have something pertaining to sailing in some manner, whether it's workout information or sailing or something like that. I'll continue the daily blog for at least this week, but then we'll see.
